Don't feed the MONSTER...
This typography art piece “Don’t Feed the Monster…” is designed by Taylor Bennett-Begaye, Laura Brothers, Alisha Young, and Jacquelyn Anthony. The idea behind the artwork is to call attention to the amount of time this generation is spending on social media. It’s not saying that all social media is bad and should not be used, but that the amount of time spent on them is significant. The fact that we are communicating mainly through devices and are losing the art of conversation in person is an issue. We find our self-worth in how many likes or comments an Instagram photo has or a Facebook comment, and this could become a monster inside ourselves. The more you feed the monster the bigger it grows. Not everyone’s monster is social media. The “IT” that stands out on the wall and is a placeholder for you. What is your monster that you are feeding? And what action are you going to take to slim down your monster?
